Description   In Karumandorai there is an orphanage which shares a site with the English School. The home is for children aged 5-16 who either do not have parents or, because of distance, live away from their parents during the school week. A helper is needed to assist with daily prayer times, after-school games/activities, as well as looking after the children.

Description:  The home and the school share the same property in Kollegal, 140 km south-west of Bangalore. We have two schools on the same premises, one catering for KANNADA and the new school is ENGLISH medium. Description There is an urgent need for teachers for primary age (Key Stages 1&2). Classes are small but of mixed ages and there are opportunities to develop the curriculum and other activities at the school. Special Needs training is an asset. In the Secondary School there is need for teachers who can offer any combination of subjects  for Grades 8-12 (Key Stages 3&4). In particular, there is a need for teachers fo English, Literacy, Humanities, Maths, practical subjects such as Woodwork or Metalwork, and ICT. Dorm parents are required to care for 40 boarding students aged 6-18 years in a growing school. Commitment to children's spiritual and emotional well-being is vital in order to give a 'home from home' atmosphere in the boarding hostel. Gap-year students are welcome to apply to help in dorm work, which includes helping the boarding children at bedtimes and in the mornings before school, as well as supervising them after school and during weekends (minimum commitment 7 months). Flexible short-termers are also welcome to assist the primary school as classroom assistant and tutors for our pupils (minimum commitment: one school term)

Description   Sakeji Mission School is a rural private boarding school that provides quality education to children of missionaries and Zambians from various backgrounds. A qualified teacher for Grades 4/5 is required immediately, a teaching degree is necessary and experience of teaching in primary/elementary education is preferable. A qualified teacher for Grade 1 is required in January 2017, teaching experience in primary education and a degree is preferable - however an Early Childhood Certificate is also acceptable. Grade 6/7 homeroom duties need covered by a qualified teacher from January to March 2017, so that the teacher may go on furlough. Dorm parents are required for ages 6-15, this role is suited to a mature Christian couple who have a real heart for counselling and caring for youth. Practical help is required in teaching Sunday school, leading devotions, assisting in the kitchen, taking swimming lessons, coaching for games and sports, cleaning storerooms, unpacking parcels, etc.
